so yeah. track is pretty fun. i ran 5:15 mile last wednesday at the track meet. it was pretty sweet. i got my eagle project done. thats a big thing because now i get to choose whether i want to go to mutual or not. so i don't have to go to the things i don't want to! yay me! but thats about it for now.

track started. i went and ran south mountain. i stole gatorade from cancer victims.

ok thats all i was going to write just to make my mom mad but since it sounds so funny like that i have to elaborated.

Well, track started and so i am officially done with wrestling. but i'm having alot of fun with track this year. i am a sophomore now so i feel like i can't pretend to not be able to finish the hard workouts because i'm a freshmen. thats how i was last year. i thought i was going to die everytime we had a hard workout. so this year i'm better at finishing hard workouts. i got to thinking and thought if i don't do the hard workouts all the way through how am i going to get better? so i started doing the whole workout.

This last saturday i ran up and down south mountain. it was pretty fun. if you think four miles of uphill running is fun. it was very hard but i could tell it helped me. so i was happy. another thing i was happy about was that we chose the same day to run south mountain as a couple hundred people did to have a "climb to conquer cancer." so it was fun running with a bunch of people who walked up the mountain. it was fun to pass people and them be like "way to go! you keep running!" and in my head i'm like i didn't even pay for this as i stop at a water station and get every free thing i can. so anyways i finally make it to the top. there is a big balloon archway and people handing out stickers that said "i made it to the top" and free gatorade. oh my gosh, the free gatorade. i loved it. i still had about 45 minutes left on my run so luckily they were giving out bags to put stuff in so i filled it with the new gatorade G2. that stuff is the best stuff ever. i seriously like it more than vitamin water. so i ran all the way back down south mountain carrying a bag full of 20 oz bottles of gatorade.

So anyways that is my big weekend. i really don't like writing in my "journal" regularly but i guess i have to. so i guess i will talk to you later.

Wrestling

so wrestling started a while ago. a couple weeks ago.
wrestling is a really cool sport.
it is really hard
it is miserable
it has no payoff
no one cares about how the wrestlers did at their last tournament
"wrestlers are a dying breed
everyone wants to win but no one wants to work" -coach tod workman
that is exactly what i happening on our team
we had a rumor going around that the heat got turned up really high in the room so half the kids didn't show up
it was a true rumor but that just proves my point.
anyways i love wrestling
i don't know if its dripping sweat or the total physical pain
i haven't decided.
but i have recently been getting hurt.
my first week at wrestling i pulled both of my hamstrings in my knees
this week my back started hurting
it makes me really mad
i hate being injured.
and i hate telling coaches that i am hurt because it always seems to me that they think i am faking.
and then after practice when the rest of the team finished practice and i just watched i feel like i'm not part of the team.
that bothers me.
when my knees used to hurt i would at least start practice and then stop at the end because they really hurt
but with my back everyone is telling me to suck it up
and my back hurts worse.
and then i feel like i'm not being a good partner because when i do suck it up i can't go all out
and thats not helping anyone
its just

so today i had school off.
i don't really like days off of school.
i like school because it gives me something to do.
and i wish i had wrestling practice today.
becuase state champs don't take days off.
i better go running
and do a couple hundred push ups/sit ups.
anyways.
